Overall Swedish Vallhunds look
somewhat box-like. Dogs and bitches are clearly differentiated on size, weight
and expression. Males reflect masculinity without coarseness. Bitches appear
feminine without slight of bone.

The relation
between height at withers and length of body should be 2:3

The neck of the mature dog should
be well arched making him look a bit of a swaggerer. The neck should flow into
the shoulders that should be well laid back.

loin. Chest long with good depth. Well sprung ribs, Viewed from front, chest
oval from side elliptical. Reaching two fifths of length of forearm. When viewed
from side the lowest point of chest is immediately behind back part of foreleg.
Sternum visible but not excessively pointed Croup broad and slightly sloping.
Belly slightly tucked up. Harness markings should be clearly defined]
Viewed from the side, the body is egg shaped with the full rounded part of the egg at the front.

considered a fault and the seriousness with which the fault should be regarded
should be in exact proportion to its degree.]
Vallhunds should
be disqualified for the following faults:
Male animals without two apparently normal testicles fully descended into the scrotum.
Undershot or overshot bite.
More than 30 percent white colouring
