FOREQUARTERS: SWEDISH VALLHUND

FOREQUARTERS

Swedish Vallhund Appearance[Standard - Shoulder blades long and well laid. Upper arm slightly shorter than shoulder blade and set at a rom front, slightly bent, just enough to give free action to chest's lower part: straight when viewed from the side. Legs well boned]

What is normally accepted front leg assembly is not correct for the Vallhund. The correct Vallhund front legs are very slightly bent in the forearm to allow for the drop of the chest, but the lower part of the leg and the feet point straight ahead. Invariably the pastern joint is placed slightly towards the inner.
